This is the heart of the short dry season. The weather is warm and sunny, especially in the north and central regions. It’s a great time for safaris, particularly in the southern Serengeti where the wildebeest calving season begins. Coastal areas like Zanzibar are hot and humid, perfect for a beach holiday.

Similar to January, February is still dry and warm across most of the country. It’s ideal for wildlife viewing and photography, especially with the wildebeest calving continuing in full swing. Kilimanjaro climbing is also good during this month with relatively stable weather.
🌧 March:
This month marks the start of the long rainy season, especially by mid-March. Northern parks may still be accessible early in the month, but rainfall increases steadily. Landscapes become lush and green, which is beautiful, but some roads may begin to get muddy and challenging.
